Cypriot President Faces Low Approval Ratings: Poll Reveals Widespread Dissatisfaction

A recent poll by RAI Consultants (January 2026) reveals significant public dissatisfaction with the government of Nikos Christodoulides. 66% of respondents express dissatisfaction with the President's performance, with 37% being “not very satisfied” and 29% “not at all satisfied”. Only 8% state they are “very satisfied”. Despite a slight improvement in positive opinions since 2024, the overall negative trend remains above 60% for three years. The poll indicates that the President has lost the momentum that brought him to power and the government is operating with “low gears” in public opinion.
