Creditworthiness to be Graded – Seven Bills in Parliament

A package of seven bills concerning the creditworthiness grading of borrowers has been submitted to Parliament. The bills aim to create a data exchange mechanism between credit institutions and credit purchase companies, with the goal of holistically evaluating borrowers and improving credit risk management. The package of bills is a prerequisite of the Recovery Fund and will establish a framework for assessing customer reliability, including grading their creditworthiness. The Central Bank will have powers of supervision, control, and imposition of sanctions, as well as issuing instructions for the data exchange mechanism, while ensuring the confidentiality of banking secrecy.
