Countries Ready to Contribute to Efforts to Reopen Strait of Hormuz

Twenty countries, including the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, and Japan, have stated their readiness to contribute to efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which has been effectively blocked by Iran since the start of the Middle East war. In a joint statement, these countries, primarily European, condemned recent Iranian attacks targeting ships and oil and gas infrastructure, demanding an immediate global moratorium on attacks on civilian infrastructure. Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and other European countries, as well as South Korea, Australia, and Bahrain, are among the signatories of the statement. This move signals a strong international response to Iranian actions and an attempt to ensure freedom of navigation in a critical maritime artery.
