Colombian President Rejects Trump's Drug Trafficking Accusations

The President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, strongly rejected accusations and threats made by former US President Donald Trump regarding drug trafficking. Trump, without providing evidence, has accused Petro of involvement in the drug trade and threatened military intervention similar to that in Venezuela. Petro responded via X, stating that his name does not appear in court documents related to drug trafficking and called on Trump to stop the slander. The Colombian Foreign Ministry condemned the threats as an unacceptable interference in the country's internal affairs. Relations between Colombia and the US have deteriorated significantly since Trump began his second term.
