Μεταγωγικό αεροσκάφος των κολομβιανών ενόπλων δυνάμεων συνετρίβη σήμερα στην περιοχή Πουέρτο Λεγκίσαμο, στο νότιο τμήμα της χώρας.
Το Υπουργείο Άμυνας της Κολομβίας ανακοίνωσε τη Δευτέρα ότι ένα αεροσκάφος Lockheed Martin LMT.N Hercules C-130 ενεπλάκη σε ατύχημα στο νότιο τμήμα της χώρας, με το τοπικό μέσο ενημέρωσης BluRadio να αναφέρει ότι στο σκάφος επέβαιναν 110 στρατιώτες.
Ο Υπουργός Άμυνας, Πέδρο Σάντσεθ, δήλωσε ότι το ατύχημα συνέβη καθώς το αεροπλάνο απογειωνόταν από το Πουέρτο Λεγκίσαμο, βαθιά στη νότια περιοχή του Αμαζονίου της Κολομβίας στα σύνορα με το Περού, ενώ μετέφερε στρατεύματα των ενόπλων δυνάμεων.

«Ο ακριβής αριθμός των θυμάτων και τα αίτια της συντριβής δεν έχουν ακόμη προσδιοριστεί», δήλωσε ο ίδιος.
Το BluRadio επικαλέστηκε τις αρχές λέγοντας ότι στο αεροσκάφος επέβαιναν 110 στρατιώτες και ότι η συντριβή σημειώθηκε μόλις 3 χιλιόμετρα (2 μίλια) από ένα αστικό κέντρο.
Η αμερικανική αμυντική εταιρεία Lockheed Martin δεν ανταποκρίθηκε αμέσως σε αίτημα για σχολιασμό.
Σε βίντεο που μεταδίδουν κολομβιανά μέσα ενημέρωσης, διακρίνονται τα φλεγόμενα συντρίμμια του Hercules C-130 σε μια δασώδη περιοχή. Το Blu Radio μεταδίδει πως περίπου 20 επιβαίνοντες διασώθηκαν.
