Cold Front to Bring Storms and Winds to Cyprus

A cold front will affect Cyprus on Friday, bringing rain and storms across the island, as well as winds and a drop in temperature. The rain will begin on Thursday and gradually subside on Saturday, while strong winds will last until Sunday. Dust is expected in the atmosphere on Thursday and Friday. The rain on Thursday will be local, mainly in the west, with a possibility of thunderstorms, while on Friday it will be island-wide with storms and a possibility of hail in the mountains. The temperature will drop significantly on Friday, to 16 degrees Celsius inland, 18 on the coast and 6 in the mountains. A gradual rise in temperature is expected on Saturday and Sunday, but from Tuesday it will begin to fall again, possibly below the average seasonal values. The public is urged to be prepared for the adverse weather conditions and to take the necessary protective measures.
