Cities in Southeastern Ukraine Plunged into Darkness Due to Russian Strikes

Russian strikes have caused widespread power outages in various regions of southeastern Ukraine. The city of Dnipro was particularly affected, with most of it left without electricity, leading to the immobilization of subway trains. Authorities have not yet estimated the time for power restoration. Furthermore, DTEK, the largest private electricity provider in Ukraine, announced power outages in areas of the Zaporizhzhia region as well. The situation is worsening as outages affect basic infrastructure and the daily lives of citizens. These power outages are a result of continued Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, aimed at weakening the country's defense capabilities and causing discontent among the population. Ukraine faces significant challenges in restoring power, as attacks are frequent and target critical points in the network. The international community has offered assistance, but the need for support remains great.
