Christodoulides on Greenland: "Our position on the territorial integrity of states is non-negotiable" - Phone call with Danish PM

President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, had an extensive phone conversation with the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, regarding the issue of Greenland and discussions between Denmark and the United States. The President expects that the EU's decisions on the matter will be made at the extraordinary European Council on Thursday. He emphasized that Cyprus's position on the territorial integrity of states is non-negotiable and that the Presidency will fulfill its institutional role. No decisions have been made yet, but discussion and decision-making are expected at the European Council. The President stressed the need to prioritize diplomacy. Furthermore, it was clarified that there is no financial burden for countries participating in the Peace Council for Gaza.
