China's New Radar Technology Threatens US F-35 and F-22 'Invisibility'

China is making significant progress in radar technology, which could challenge US air superiority. Following the successful development of gallium nitride (GaN) technology, China is now focusing on gallium oxide (Ga2O3), a material that promises even better performance. Radar based on gallium oxide could be more powerful, compact, and resistant to interference, making Chinese fighters more effective at detecting stealth targets such as the F-35 and F-22. China is accelerating its efforts towards self-sufficiency in semiconductor production, having established a complete production line for gallium oxide. This technological advancement could change the balance of power in aviation and jeopardize the US strategy based on stealth aircraft.
