Changes in Fines for Running Red Lights at Camera-Controlled Intersections

New provisions for the out-of-court settlement of red light violations at camera-controlled intersections came into effect on March 6th, according to Law 91(I)/2024. The fine for violating the mandatory stop line is 25 euros. For failing to comply with the red light, the fine and penalty points vary depending on the point of vehicle entry (pedestrian crossing or not). Specifically, entering a pedestrian crossing entails a fine of 85 euros and 3 points, while entering a point beyond the crossing or the white stop line entails a fine of 300 euros and 3 points. For questions or disputes regarding violations, contact the contracting company by phone or website.
