Candidate withdraws after complaints from Nicola

The candidate with Direct Democracy withdrew her candidacy after complaints from the president of DIKO, Nikolas Papadopoulos, regarding her conviction in the occupied territories for a drug-related case. Fidias Panagiotou, a Member of the European Parliament and representative of Direct Democracy, stated that the candidate had been convicted a decade ago in the occupied territories for drug trafficking, but has rebuilt her life. Mr. Panagiotou accused Nikolas Papadopoulos of exerting psychological pressure on the candidate, resulting in her decision to withdraw her candidacy in order not to harm the Direct Democracy party. DIKO had attacked the candidate, causing a reaction from Direct Democracy and the final withdrawal of the candidacy.
