Businessman Denies Involvement in Luxury Vehicle Arson

A 49-year-old businessman is being held in five-day custody following a court order in Limassol, accused of arson of luxury vehicles at a car exhibition. The businessman was arrested based on testimony and an arrest warrant, and during the search of his home and car, significant amounts of cash, replica pistols, and several mobile phones were found. The 49-year-old denies any involvement in the case. This is the second arrest in the case, as a 28-year-old was previously arrested and remanded in custody for six days. The businessman's arrest comes after a police investigation into the arson of vehicles worth hundreds of thousands of euros. The authorities continue their investigations to determine the circumstances of the arson and clarify the role of the two suspects. The evidence seized during the investigations is expected to contribute to the solving of the case. The case is under investigation by the Limassol TAE.
