Blue Zones: What Do the World’s Longest-Lived People Eat?

The so-called "Blue Zones", areas where people live longer and healthier lives, share common dietary characteristics. Their diet is based on plant-based foods, such as vegetables, legumes, fruits, nuts, and whole grains, with limited consumption of meat and fish. Residents of the Blue Zones consume legumes, olive oil, nuts, small amounts of alcohol (mainly wine) daily, and follow the motto "hara hachi bu" (stop eating when 80% full). They also prefer minimally processed foods, herbs, and infusions instead of soft drinks.
