Bloomberg: Gulf States Consider Joining War Against Iran

Sources report that Gulf states are considering joining the war between the US and Israel against Iran, should Tehran attack their critical infrastructure. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, in particular, are losing patience with Iranian attacks, but would only become involved if their electricity and water infrastructure were threatened. Most Gulf states are moving in that direction, with the exception of Oman, which wants to maintain its role as a mediator. However, there is hesitation due to fears of further escalation from Iran or a possible agreement between the US and Iran that would leave the Gulf states exposed. The war has overturned Iran's relations with its neighbors, who had tried to stabilize their relations with Tehran in recent years. Gulf states recently intercepted drones and missiles launched by Iran, while Tehran argues they are legitimate targets due to the use of their airspace and territory by the US. The situation remains unstable and the possibility of further escalation is real.
