Airports Implement COVID-like Measures as Deadly Bat Virus with 75% Mortality Rate Detected

Concern is growing in Asia over the resurgence of the Nipah virus in India, with a mortality rate reaching 75%. Several countries, including Thailand, Nepal, and Taiwan, have tightened health checks at airports and land borders. In India, five healthcare workers have been infected, with two in critical condition. Approximately 110 people are in quarantine. The Nipah virus is zoonotic, spreading from animals to humans, and is considered highly dangerous by the World Health Organization, as there is no vaccine or specific treatment. Authorities are recommending preventative measures such as thorough fruit washing and avoiding raw juice.
