Azerbaijan: Accuses Iran of Downing Two Drones on its Territory

Azerbaijan has accused Iran of downing two unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) on its territory, injuring two people. The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry summoned the Iranian ambassador for a strong protest, demanding explanations and reserving the right to take "appropriate retaliatory measures." According to Azerbaijan, one drone fell near an airport in Nakhchivan, on the border with Iran, and another near a school. The country condemned the attacks and demanded explanations from Iran. So far, Iran has not commented on the accusations. The incident occurs during a period of increased tension in the Middle East, with attacks on Israel and heightened alert in Cyprus. This escalation raises concerns about further destabilization in the region and the security of countries located near the borders of Iran and Azerbaijan.
