Axios: Netanyahu-Trump Planned Joint Attack on Iran Since December

According to an Axios report, Benjamin Netanyahu and Donald Trump began discussing a potential joint attack on Iran in late December during their meeting at Mar-a-Lago. Netanyahu proposed continuing the war against Iran, while the suppression of protesters in Iran is said to have changed Trump's approach. Trump allegedly had planned an attack on January 14, but ultimately chose to strengthen military presence in the region and plan a joint attack with Israel, while simultaneously initiating negotiations with Iran. These talks, according to the report, were not an attempt to deceive Iran. The two countries agreed on a possible attack on February 28, when Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei would meet with his associates. Negotiations with Iran were unsuccessful, as Iran rejected proposals for nuclear fuel, ballistic missiles, and support for terrorist groups. US intelligence services confirmed that Iran was rebuilding its nuclear facilities. As a result, the prospect of a joint attack remains open, despite the negotiations.
