Avalanches in Italy Claim Three Lives

Three people have died in avalanches in the Italian Alps. Two skiers, a German and an Italian, were swept away by an avalanche in the Maira Valley, with the German losing his life. Shortly after, a French skier was killed in an avalanche near Turin. Additionally, a 50-year-old Italian hiker died in an avalanche in the Veneto region. Authorities had warned of the increased risk of avalanches due to heavy snowfall and strong winds.
