ATA Increase Approved for First Half of 2026

The Ministry of Finance has announced a 0.10% increase in the Cost of Living Allowance (ATA) for the first six months of 2026, effective January 1st. An additional increase of 0.12% is planned from July 1st, 2026, for twelve months, as per the Permanent Agreement on ATA. This adjustment is based on the arithmetic average of the Consumer Price Index for 2025, which reached 113.61 units, marking a 0.13% increase compared to the previous year. Furthermore, the positive GDP of Lebanon, with a 3.5% increase in the first nine months of 2025, supports the readjustment. The allowance will be adjusted to 361.44% for the January-June 2026 period and 361.53% from July 2026, with a minimum limit of €13,803 and €13,807 respectively. For state employees with ATA included in their salaries, the increase will be from 12.56% to 12.67% (Jan-Jun 2026) and 12.70% (Jul 2026 - 12 months), with a minimum limit of €1,982 and €1,987.
