ATA: 0.10% Increase for the First 6 Months of 2026

The Ministry of Finance announced a 0.10% increase in the cost of living allowance (ATA) for the first six months of 2026, while from July of the same year the increase will be 0.12% for the next twelve months. This decision is based on the positive economic performance, with GDP showing a 3.5% increase in 2025 and the index of price changes increasing by 0.13%. The cost of living allowance will be 361.44% for the first half of the year and 361.53% for the rest of the year, with a minimum threshold of €13,803 and €13,807 respectively. For employees with the allowance already incorporated into their salary, the increases will be smaller, from 12.56% to 12.67% and from 12.67% to 12.70%, with a minimum threshold of €1,982 and €1,987.
