During the Epiphany celebrations in Ayia Napa, an unexpected incident occurred with the golden cross thrown into the sea. The cross was initially lost, forcing the Metropolitan to throw a wooden cross. However, the golden cross was found a short time later. Participation from the faithful was particularly high, with over 30 people diving into the water to catch the cross, including two eight-year-old children and a woman.
