Another Infant Formula Recalled in Cyprus

The Ministry of Health has announced the recall of NAN optipro 1 infant formula (800g, batch number 51210346AB, expiry date 11/2026) due to the potential presence of cereulide, a toxin produced by the Bacillus cereus bacterium. The recall applies to products distributed in Cyprus and is being carried out proactively by Nestle. Additionally, other batches of Nestle products are being recalled, specifically S-26 GOLD 1 400g (batch 51550346AE, expiry 30/6/2027), NAN EXPERTpro SENSITIVE PLUS 400g (batch 51250742C1, expiry 30/11/2026) and NAN EXPERTpro Lactose Free 400g (batch 51520346AD, expiry 30/6/2027). The Ministry of Health urges consumers who have purchased these specific batches to refrain from using them and return them to the stores. Health Services continue their investigations into the possible distribution of additional products from other companies through illegal channels, while consumers who made purchases online from abroad are advised to check their products.
