AKEL Presents Kerynia Candidates, Highlights Province's Significance

AKEL presented its candidates for the Kerynia province, emphasizing the importance of this province as the smallest but carrying the greatest emotional and political burden, remaining fully occupied for 52 years. The General Secretary of AKEL, Stefanos Stefanou, referred to the critical moments for Cyprus and the wider region, highlighting the risks of stagnation in the Cyprus issue. He stressed the need to safeguard convergences and the negotiating capital for achieving a comprehensive solution. Additionally, he mentioned global problems such as inflation and energy poverty, prioritizing policies with human sensitivity. AKEL's candidates pledged to represent the people of Kerynia and work for the reunification of Cyprus.
