AKEL Criticizes Government Over Stalled Energy Projects and Rising Costs

AKEL is criticizing the government for delays and rising costs in energy projects, such as the terminal in Vasiliko and the electricity interconnection. The General Secretary of AKEL, Stefanos Stefanou, stated that the current government has not been able to resolve the problems inherited from the previous one, and that the cost of the projects could reach one billion euros. Furthermore, the delay in the arrival of natural gas has led to high electricity prices. The case has also reached the European Public Prosecutor's Office, which is investigating potential irregularities in the funding of the projects.
