Akamas Park Roads Closed Due to Weather Damage

The roads “Avakas to Agia Matrona” and “Avakas to Lipati” in Akamas National Forest Park have been closed due to damage to the road surfaces caused by recent weather events. Water accumulation on the roads also makes them impassable. Both roads will be closed from January 27, 2026, until further notice. The Forestry Department apologizes for any inconvenience caused to the public and will issue a new announcement once the danger has passed and the roads have been repaired to be safe for passage.
