The Administrative Court has rejected the appeal of suspended Paphos Mayor Phaedon Phaedonos to lift his suspension. Phaedonos attempted to overturn the Ministry of Interior's decision to remove him from his duties due to investigations into allegations of domestic violence and rape. The court acknowledged that suspension is automatically triggered when police investigate a felony punishable by more than three years in prison. It also dismissed Phaedonos' claims of violations of administrative principles and irreparable harm.
