ABC News Facebook Account Hacked – Pornographic Material Posted

The official Facebook account of ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) was the target of a cyberattack on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in the publication of pornographic and offensive material. Access to the account was quickly secured and the content removed. According to ABC, the attack came as a result of a breach of the account of a staff member, which allowed unauthorized access to the page. The hackers changed the cover photo to an image of porn star Bonnie Blue and posted additional photos and images with offensive content, including one of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. ABC has launched an internal investigation to strengthen security mechanisms and prevent similar incidents in the future. The company points out that corporate social media accounts are often vulnerable due to access by multiple users. This incident highlights the growing threat of cyberattacks and the need for strong security measures to protect the accounts and data of companies and organizations.
