9.5% Increase in Tourist Arrivals in February

Tourist arrivals in Cyprus increased by 9.5% in February 2026, reaching 146,516, compared to 133,760 in February 2025. For the period January – February 2026, arrivals reached 268,141, marking a 9.1% increase compared to the same period in 2025. The United Kingdom was the main source of tourism, with a share of 19.3% (28,217 arrivals), followed by Poland (18.4%), Israel (12.6%), Greece (9.3%), and Germany (6.6%). 61.5% of tourists visited Cyprus for holidays, 21.6% to visit friends or relatives, and 16.7% for business purposes. A slight increase was observed in the percentage of tourists visiting Cyprus for holidays compared to 2025. At the same time, trips by residents of Cyprus to abroad also increased, by 22.5%, reaching 152,198 in February 2026. Greece was the main destination (30.8%), followed by the United Kingdom (8.1%), Italy (4.2%), and Poland (4.1%). Holidays were the main purpose of the trips (78.7%).
