The Polish truck driver involved in the horrific collision in Romania, which claimed the lives of seven PAOK fans, has stated he is deeply shaken by the tragic incident. In statements to Romanian media outlet libertatea, he said he has been driving trucks for 34 years and has never encountered a similar situation, having covered over 1,000,000 kilometers. He described what happened on the DN6 highway, also known as the “road of death.” According to the driver, the van carrying the PAOK fans attempted to overtake, but was unable to complete the maneuver safely.
