3.2 Magnitude Earthquake East of Paphos - Felt as Far as Limassol

An earthquake of magnitude 3.2 was recorded east of Paphos at 1:25 PM local time on Thursday, January 8, 2026, according to the Geological Survey Department. The epicenter was located in the area of Agia Marina Kelokedaron, approximately 23 kilometers from Paphos, with a focal depth of 25 kilometers. The tremor was felt in both Paphos and Limassol. The earthquake is related to the strong earthquakes of magnitude 5.2 and 5.3 that occurred in November 2025, and is part of the ongoing seismic sequence with more than 300 events.
