Today, March 25th, commemorates the anniversary of the Greek Revolution of 1821 and the Annunciation of the Theotokos. This day is a milestone for the rebirth of the Greek nation and a symbol of freedom and independence, reminding us of the sacrifices and struggles of the Greek people. In Cyprus, the Cypriot Greeks honored the National Palingenesis with doxologies and parades. Specifically, a Solemn Doxology was held at the Holy Church of Panagia Faneromeni in Nicosia, with the presence of the President of the Republic and other political and religious leaders. The student and university parade followed in front of the Greek Embassy in Nicosia, which was attended by President Christodoulides. During the parade, the President of the Republic emphasized that the Revolution of 1821 paved the way for the liberation of other peoples. In his message, President Christodoulides stressed the importance of unity and effort to achieve the liberation and reunification of Cyprus, drawing lessons from the historical Revolution of 1821.
