Πάνω από χίλιοι εργαζόμενοι στα Υποστηρικτικά Προγράμματα του Υπουργείου Παιδείας συμμετέχουν σήμερα σε 24ωρη απεργία, όπως δήλωσε στην Πρωινή Έκδοση του ΑΣΤΡΑ ο ΓΓ της ΠΑΣΕΥ ΠΕΟ, Ανδρέας Κουννής.
Η απόφαση για την κινητοποίηση λήφθηκε ομόφωνα σε Γενική Συνέλευση και αποτελεί την αρχή των κινητοποιήσεων των εργαζομένων, οι οποίοι διεκδικούν την εφαρμογή της νομοθεσίας του 2003 και της απόφασης του Ανωτάτου Δικαστηρίου, που τους δικαιώνει και αναγνωρίζει ότι θα έπρεπε να έχουν θέσεις αορίστου χρόνου.
Ο κ. Κουννής τόνισε ότι το νομοσχέδιο που κατατέθηκε τον Δεκέμβριο στη Βουλή αφήνει εκτεθειμένους εκατοντάδες εργαζόμενους, αγνοεί τις θέσεις των συντεχνιών και παραβλέπει αποφάσεις δικαστηρίων, έρχοντας σε σύγκρουση με την ισχύουσα νομοθεσία και το πλαίσιο της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης.
Οι απεργοί συγκεντρώθηκαν στο χώρο στάθμευσης πλησίον του κτηρίου της ΠΑΣΥΣΥ και γύρω στις 11:30 το πρωί προγραμματίζουν πορεία προς το Προεδρικό Μέγαρο. «Διεκδικούμε τα αυτονόητα και δεν πρόκειται να κάνουμε πίσω μέχρι να επιλυθούν οριστικά τα προβλήματα αυτών των εργαζομένων», δήλωσε ο κ. Κουννής.

The General Secretary of PASEU PEO, Andreas Kounnis, stated that the bill exposes hundreds of workers and clashes with current legislation and the European framework. The workers gathered at the PASYDY parking area and plan a march to the Presidential Palace, insisting they will not back down until their problems are resolved. This strike represents an escalation of the dispute between workers and the government regarding their employment status. Workers argue they are entitled to permanent positions due to their long-term service and the nature of their duties, while the government appears to be seeking a more flexible form of employment. The outcome of the strike and subsequent mobilizations will determine the future of workers in the Support Programs of the Ministry of Education and will set an important precedent for employment status in the public sector.
