20 Years of 'Love, Giving, Humanity' - Christiana A. Apostolou Foundation Anniversary Event

The Christiana A. Apostolou Foundation celebrated its 20th anniversary with a successful event in Larnaca. The event, titled 'Love – Giving – Humanity', brought together members, supporters, and representatives from the government, local authorities, and other organizations. The keynote speaker, Andreas Apostolou, Vice President of the Foundation, emphasized that the Foundation was created with the values of his mother, Christiana Apostolou, and presented its diverse work, focusing on supporting children, young people, and families in need of treatment abroad. To date, the Foundation has supported over 600 families and has collaborated with the Federation of Associations of Patients in Cyprus and the Patient Advocate institution. Additionally, it has undertaken initiatives such as educational programs against school bullying, blood donations, and upgrades to children's infrastructure. The announcement of the implementation of a state plan to cover travel and accommodation expenses for patients abroad in 2024 was considered particularly important. For the future, the Foundation announced significant initiatives for 2026, such as strengthening services for cancer patients in the province of Larnaca and launching a Day Care Unit for Cancer Patients at the General Hospital of Larnaca. It will also continue to support children and their families at the Pediatric Oncology Unit, in collaboration with the Pan-Cypriot Association of Parents and Friends of the Pediatric Oncology Unit. Andreas Apostolou concluded his speech by reiterating the Foundation's commitment to ensuring that no one feels alone in the fight for health, emphasizing that the value of a society is measured by its solidarity.
