12 Arrests Made in Police Operation - Over 110 Traffic Violations Reported, 4 Vehicles Impounded

The Cyprus Police conducted enhanced preventative operations island-wide overnight, aiming to prevent criminal activities and protect citizens. During the operations, a total of twelve individuals were arrested for various offenses, including illegal stay in the Republic, illegal possession of property, outstanding warrants, and illegal employment. Simultaneously, checks were carried out on 29 premises, with 12 found to be in violation. Over 540 checks were conducted on the road network, resulting in more than 110 reports of traffic violations, 37 of which concerned speeding. Four vehicles were impounded as part of the investigation of traffic offenses. These operations are part of a broader, ongoing, and enhanced preventative plan by the Police, with increased police presence, targeted checks, and immediate operational action in all provinces. The goal of these operations is to prevent crime and strengthen the sense of security among citizens.
