Lower Than EU Average Wage Increase in Cyprus

According to Eurostat data, Cyprus is experiencing a wage increase lower than the European Union average. In the fourth quarter of 2023, the increase in hourly labor costs in Cyprus was 2.7%, while the EU average was 3.4%. The largest increases were recorded in Slovenia, Bulgaria, and Croatia, while the lowest were in France, Italy, Denmark, Finland, Germany, and Cyprus. Malta was the only country to record a decrease in labor costs.
