Weather Deterioration: Rain, Storms, and Snow Expected in Cyprus

A weak low-pressure system is currently affecting the region, with another low-pressure system expected to arrive tonight. The weather will be intermittently cloudy with local showers and isolated thunderstorms, which will become more frequent from the afternoon. Snow is expected in the mountains, with local frost possible in the higher areas. Winds will be southwesterly, initially light, 3 Beaufort, and becoming moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort, in the afternoon. The sea will be slightly rough to rough. The temperature will reach 15 degrees Celsius inland, around 17 degrees Celsius on the coast, and 7 degrees Celsius in the mountains. Tonight, the weather will remain mainly cloudy with local showers and thunderstorms, while snowfall will continue in the mountains. Winds will remain southwesterly, moderate to strong, and the sea will be up to rough. The temperature will drop to 7 degrees Celsius inland, around 9 degrees Celsius on the coast, and 3 degrees Celsius in the mountains, with a possibility of frost. Wednesday will see partly cloudy skies with the possibility of isolated showers or thunderstorms, as well as snow or sleet in the mountains. Thursday and Friday will have similar weather, with a slight rise in temperature from Thursday. The snow height at Troodos is currently 17 centimeters.
