Social Support Agency Responds to Audit Findings: “No Impropriety Found”

The Social Support Agency has responded to the Audit Office’s report for the period 2018-2024, stating that the audit revealed no irregularities in contributions, donations or the provision of financial support. The Agency’s Management Committee emphasizes that the report concerns a compliance audit and not a general investigation, and that its purpose was to examine compliance with the legal framework governing its operation, due to a complaint that had been filed. Furthermore, it states that the Audit Office introduced issues that do not fall within the original scope of the audit, exceed its competencies and are not supported by audit evidence, casting shadows on state officials and institutions. The Agency points out that it operates in full compliance with the Constitution and legislation, and that the institutional provision for its presidency by the First Lady is lawful. Finally, it highlights the meritocracy in the social policy it pursues.
