Pheidiades Panayiotou: Open to Cooperation with Karystianou's Party – “We Might Suggest Becoming a Sister Party in the Future”

Cypriot MEP Pheidiades Panayiotou left open the possibility of future cooperation with the party of Maria Karystianou, stating that they could consider a “sister party” relationship. He expressed his desire to collaborate, noting that they would not agree on everything. When asked about Maria Karystianou's statements on abortion, Pheidiades Panayiotou said that he personally believes that abortion should be legal, as a society does not look good if it does not allow it. He also stated that he does not regret becoming an MEP and believes he is useful to society, despite the difficulties in changing Cyprus and Europe on his own. Responding to criticism of the Direct Democracy party, he admitted that they allowed many people who were not suitable for the job to run as candidates, but left the final decision to the public. He mentioned that the party already has 200 members and 56 are expected to be elected.
