Cyprus to Present Cultural Priorities to European Parliament

The Deputy Minister of Culture, Vasiliki Kassianidou, is in Brussels to present the priorities of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU for 2026 to the Committee on Culture and Education (CULT) of the European Parliament. She will also participate in events organized as part of the Cypriot Presidency's Cultural Program. On January 26th, she will inaugurate an exhibition of works by Cypriot artists that will adorn the Council of the EU buildings during the Cypriot Presidency. On January 27th, she will present the priorities to the CULT Committee, referring to programs such as AgoraEU and the Culture Compass for Europe, as well as the European Capitals of Culture and the European Democracy Shield. The Deputy Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with European Parliament officials.
