Epstein Case: UN Experts See Evidence of Possible Crimes Against Humanity After Document Release

New evidence related to the Jeffrey Epstein case, through the release of documents from the U.S. Department of Justice, has raised concerns about possible crimes against humanity. A team of UN experts believes that the scale, systematic nature, and transnational dimension of the alleged acts indicate an organized exploitation network, with alleged abuse of women and girls in an environment of corruption and misogyny. The experts emphasize the need for an independent and thorough investigation, not only into these acts but also into how it was possible for them to be committed for years without accountability. At the same time, concerns are being expressed about the way the documents were released, with serious omissions and incomplete redactions of information that may endanger the privacy of victims. The Epstein case had already caused an international uproar, revealing his connections with prominent figures from various fields, while his death in 2019 intensified questions and doubts.
