Lebanese Foreign Minister Condemns Attack on UK Bases in Cyprus, References Hezbollah

Lebanon's Foreign Minister, Youssef Raggi, condemned the drone attack on British Akrotiri base, emphasizing that this action does not represent Lebanon, its people, or its values. The condemnation followed an announcement by Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos that the drone originated from Lebanese territory. Mr. Raggi assured that Lebanon rejects any attempt to turn it into a platform for external agendas and stressed that Cypriot authorities should not confuse the state with groups operating outside the legal framework. He also recalled the recent Lebanese government decision to declare Hezbollah's military activities illegal, emphasizing that attacks against Cyprus are not related to the Lebanese state. Finally, he expressed his regret for the incidents and reiterated Lebanon's complete rejection of the attacks.
