President of Cyprus Highlights Economic Opportunities with Bahrain

The President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, stated that significant economic opportunities exist between Cyprus and Bahrain, speaking at the first Cyprus-Bahrain Business Forum. He emphasized the untapped potential and strategic location of both countries as bridges between regions and markets. President Christodoulides referred to the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU and his intention to strengthen relations between the European Union and the Gulf region, considering Bahrain as a key partner. He expressed his belief that the upcoming EU-GCC Summit will contribute to deepening political dialogue and economic cooperation. He highlighted that Cyprus offers investors from Bahrain a stable and reliable development platform, with full access to the Single Market and the Eurozone, as well as a modern and business-friendly regulatory framework. He pointed out the competitive tax system and efforts to digitize public services. President Christodoulides mentioned that there is significant potential for cooperation in the areas of financial services, investment, technology, construction, and infrastructure, and that Bahrain serves as a strategic gateway for Cypriot companies seeking to expand into the Gulf region and the wider Middle East.
