Thousands of Euros Worth of Projects Implemented in Free Famagusta: "Aiming to Improve Citizens' Quality of Life"

Projects worth thousands of euros are being implemented in free Famagusta, aiming to improve the quality of life for citizens. The Mayor of Paralimni – Deryneia, Giorgos Nicolettos, announced that projects related to culture, religion, and the road network have been completed or are underway in the Acheiritou Municipal District. Pan-municipal gatherings, such as the one held on March 11th, serve as a platform for dialogue between the municipal authorities and citizens, where needs are heard and ideas are submitted. Specifically, the upgrade of the Acheiritou Commercial Center is being promoted in collaboration with the Famagusta District Officer, aiming to improve the functionality and appearance of the center. Emphasis has also been placed on upgrading spaces of religious and cultural significance, such as the chapel of Agios Georgios, where beautification work has been carried out and lighting has been installed. The Municipality is considering upgrading the Acheiritou Amphitheater and securing funding to create a space for cultural expression. In addition, the terms for the announcement of a tender for shading the event space of the Acheiritou District are being prepared. Regarding the road network, the Municipality is preparing the conditions for the upgrade and construction of important roads. The Mayor stressed the importance of transparency, accountability, and continuous communication with citizens, so that they are informed about the projects and interventions that affect their daily lives.
