Our research associate, Eva Manolova, participated as a speaker at the final conference of the DEUCE project (Digitalising EU Cross-Border Enforcement of Consumer Law: Pathways to Effective Justice in the Digital Single Market) in Brussels and online, on February 19-20, 2026. She presented her work entitled “Bringing Brussels I bis Closer to the European Enforcement Order: Lessons Learned for the Future of Cross-Border Recognition and Enforcement of Civil and Commercial Judgments in the EU” and participated in discussions on digital and algorithmic enforcement, cross-border consumer protection and access to justice in the digital single market. The conference brought together experts, policymakers and professionals from across Europe to explore ways to strengthen cross-border judicial cooperation in the EU.
