Iran Reportedly Closes Airspace Temporarily

Iran has reportedly closed its airspace temporarily to most flights, allowing only international flights and those departing the country with prior permission from the country's civil aviation authority. Lufthansa announced that it will bypass the airspace of Iran and Iraq “until further notice” due to increasing threats in the region. Additionally, Lufthansa will operate flights to and from Israel and Jordan as day trips, without overnight stays for crews, and may cancel some flights. German authorities have not commented on their own security recommendations.
