Turkey: F-16s Challenge Greek Airspace – Violated Airspace in Formation

Turkey has engaged in a new provocative act in the Aegean Sea, violating Greek airspace nine times with two pairs of F-16 fighter jets, one CN-235 reconnaissance aircraft, and two drones. The violations occurred in areas of the northeastern and southeastern Aegean, after a period of calm, bringing tension back to the region. The Turkish aircraft were identified and intercepted by the Greek Air Force, in accordance with international rules. Additionally, six violations of the Athens FIR were recorded by the same aircraft. This activity highlights Turkey's continued provocative behavior and the need for vigilance.
