Cyprus Concerned Over Exaggerated Media Coverage, Calls for Accurate Representation of Tourism Situation

The government has expressed concern over exaggerations presented by international media regarding the situation in Cyprus, emphasizing that life on the island is normal. This was stated by Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis after an emergency meeting chaired by the President of the Republic with relevant tourism stakeholders. The meeting focused on maintaining Cyprus's tourism product, which has shown an upward trend in recent years. It was noted that airline flight schedules are being restored, leading to a more normal period. The state and tourism stakeholders will remain in close coordination to take further action and decisions, while the contribution of the media was requested to present the true picture of the situation.
