The leader of the Turkish Cypriot side, Tufan Erhurman, met with the former President of DISY, Averof Neofytou, in New York, just hours after his meeting with the UN Secretary-General. The two men discussed the latest developments in the Cyprus issue and exchanged views on the next steps. Averof Neofytou is in New York as the head of the Cypriot delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union and will participate in a parliamentary hearing co-organized by the Union and the UN.
