Mourning for the unfortunate Kristina Achilleos who died in a traffic accident in the early hours – A second 19-year-old remains in critical condition in the ICU – Investigations into a tank located beside the road that the fatal vehicle collided with – The road is not fully lit – A team from Headquarters conducted investigations at the scene of the fatal accident. The circumstances of the tragic accident that resulted in the death of 19-year-old Kristina Achilleos from Sotira are continuing to be investigated by the authorities. According to information from Cyprus Times, the vehicle, which appears to have been travelling at high speed, skidded, collided with a tank beside the road, and then ended up in a field. The authorities are also investigating the presence of the tank used by farmers beside the road. Initial indications and according to reliable sources suggest that the driver was travelling at high speed. Investigations were carried out at the scene by a crash investigation team from TAE Headquarters to examine points on the road that may have played a role in the accident. Meanwhile, the road does not appear to have adequate lighting in all areas. According to the Police, there were four people in the vehicle. A 19-year-old driver, a 20-year-old passenger, and two 19-year-old passengers in the back seats. The unfortunate girl was one of those in the back seat. A second 19-year-old passenger who was in the back seat next to the unfortunate Kristina is in serious condition in the ICU of Nicosia General Hospital. The driver was tested for alcohol and drugs with negative results. It should be noted that all occupants were wearing seatbelts.
