Association for ADHD: Significant Legislative Changes - Office Allocation Expected from Paralimni

The Association for Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in Cyprus announced significant changes in legislation regarding people with disabilities and special education, which are expected to impact thousands of children, adolescents and adults. President of the Association, Marina Georgiou, informed about the expansion of the Association’s services with the creation of new premises in Nicosia and Limassol, as well as the allocation of spaces by the Municipalities of Larnaca and Paralimni. In addition, the extension of services to mountainous areas is planned, with discussions regarding the allocation of spaces. Furthermore, a conference was held at the Ministry of Labour on ADHD in the workplace, aiming to promote inclusion and the rights of people with ADHD in employment. The Association launched new programs, such as supported employment, a social companion and semi-independent living for individuals aged 13–17, aiming to enhance autonomy and inclusion. During the cutting of the New Year's cake, the former President of the Limassol School Board, Dinos Ellinas, was honoured for his contribution to the creation of the Children’s Occupation Center in Limassol. The Association for ADHD in Cyprus is committed to continuing its efforts to support people with ADHD and promote their rights.
